Ready or Not--Here We Come!!

Today was a blur---going through checklists---what to take and what to leave!! Everyone we have talked to says to "pack light!" Stuff is everywhere as we try to organize. We have weight limits to consider for each bag. We are all excited, yet will be relieved when we are on our way. Tomorrow we will go to Kansas City after the kids get out of school and will stay at a hotel near the airport so we'll be ready to fly out at the crack of dawn on Wednesday. In Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." It is comforting to know we don't have to go through life carrying our "baggage" by ourselves. God is so good and has continued to carry us and bless us beyond measure today as we hurry around wrapping up the final details for our departure. We received an anonymous gift from the church to help with expenses and a local businessman gave us a gift of some free merchandise that we will need in China that I planned to buy today from him. He said, "I can't go with you, but this can, and I want to be a part of your trip!" Another friend gave us some money and said, "Have a meal on us!" Many of you have stopped us to wish us well and let us know you are praying for our family. Thank you so much!! We are overwhelmed and feel extremely loved by all of you!
Prayer requests:
-Our passports/visas and some other important paperwork are supposed to be coming back from the adoption agency by Fed Ex before we leave tomorrow. There's not much margin for error.
-Unity in the family and patience as we finish up everything that needs done.

Blessings beyond measure to all of you!!
