This is my first time blogging and I have to say it's weird!  We wanted a way to update everyone as we travel to China and meet our daughter Guo Jin!  So bear with us as we navigate this blogging world.  We want to thank each of you for your thoughts and prayers over the past 4 years leading up to this moment of meeting our daughter and becoming a family of six!  God has so blessed us and shown us Himself in AMAZING ways through our adoption journey.  His heart is so big for the orphan and the widow. If you're interested we would love to sit and drink a cup of coffee with you and tell our story of a little girl on the other side of the world without a family that God has called us to call our own, just as Jesus adopted us as His own. WOW is all we can say!

Our daughter Guo Jin is 5 and a half years old. The American name we've chosen for her is Abigail Rose,we want to honor her Chinese name and her identity and will call her by her Chinese name until she says otherwise!  We received our referral for her on Feb. 12 of this year and have been riding a roller coaster of excitement ever since!  We received her referral just one week after switching to the waiting child program.  We will travel to China leaving Thurs. April 29th we just found out last night, it was moved up one week from May 6th originally.  We are running around trying to get everything ready for our trip and will keep you all updated as things move along.  Thank you again for all of your prayers and support!   Oh we are taking Joshua, Jairus and Anna along with us on our field trip to China!  You can pray for the kids and jet lag and new culture, food, sights and smells.  We can't wait to experience it all together and will have many stories to tell when we return home.
