We met our precious daughter Abigail Rose Guo Jin today at about 3:30 am Kansas time 4:30pm China time! She cried at first, which was to be expected but broke my heart. Her nannies were there encouraging her and talking to her. We were able to see the outside of the orphanage and it was very nice. We gave her a little stuffed cat and horses and then a few M&M's which eased the tears! She is a girl after my own heart, chocolate solves a lot of problems! Anyway we came back to the room, hung out for awhile, colored with sister Anna and looked out the window of the hotel with her brothers. Then it was off to dinner, the waitress brought a big dish of ice cream out for Guo Jin and she loved it! Finishing it up with a smile and chocolate all over her face.
She is so precious, busy, checking everything out! We went through her entire suitcase of clothes and she enjoyed looking at them and peeling the stickers off her new clothes and sticking them to her arm. She is neater than our kids, folding her clothes up and putting things away! WOW, I need to stay at the orphanage for awhile and see how they teach a five year old how to do that!
It has been an amazing emotional day. Joshua, Jairus, and Anna have been amazing today and throughout our time in China. They are really excited too! Thanks so much for your prayers, the Lord has really answered them!
Love,
The Kelley's!
